DIGITAL VISION FOR WEST TERRACE PRIMARY
Understanding and using technology in the 21st century is a vital part of virtually every aspect of daily life. It is in large part the school’s responsibility to prepare students for this reality and future. The key stage for this preparation is the classroom. Technology can empower productivity, promote efficiency, and create opportunities for transforming learning. It is the vehicle to help us towards our goal of providing collaborative, data-informed instruction and adapting learning experiences to meet the needs of all learners. Therefore, every classroom must be equipped with diverse technologies to support dynamic teaching, learning and assessment. The use of technology in this primary school will be an amalgam with the primary curriculum thus promoting integration of the two. To this end cultivating an environment where all stakeholders learn, create, collaborate and innovate together.

The tenets of your vision are clear and well thought out. I especially like the 6th one for students that speaks to joy, satisfaction and passion in their education and lifelong learning. Too often we overlook the fact that learning should encompass the joy of learning.
